My story begins in Nhulunbuy - a remote coastal town on the tip of the Northern Territory, where sun-baked earth meets salty gulf winds and the landscape is as breathtaking as it is relentless. I grew up there, absorbing more than I knew. The heat. The red earth. The way the wind stripped everything exposed. Over the years the quiet frustration of skin and hair that struggled continued, countless trying of products designed for somewhere softer, less demanding than the Australian climate.
What I didn't know yet was that the answers were growing all around me, there from the beginning. The native Australian botanicals thriving in that same unforgiving landscape, pushing through cracked earth, holding their own against salt wind had developed a potency built specifically for extremes. Deep reserves of nutrients, antioxidants and moisture compounds that nothing on a shelf had thought to match.
I left Nhulunbuy. But it didn't leave me.
Over the following decades, through a career, a family, and life! - I started to research what these ingredients could truly do. The certainty grew that something better was possible, simply by going back to the source. In my 40s, I took the plunge and finally built it.
Hub for Belle is rooted in what that landscape taught me before I knew I was being taught.
